Holy Amero!

OK, not normally what I do here, but sometimes, my politico-financial standings in beliefs and such get in my way, so here we go.

I was just joking in the Analog Hole Gaming chatroom today. We were talking about the bailouts and the pending financial crash we are going to go through. Yes, we are going to go through another great depression. It is a cyclical financial evolution that this country goes through. It really was ignited by the DOTCOM fiasco.

We got to the point where other countries are buying out our debt. Here is the chat convo.

(10:04:57 AM) christyn: and these banks and institutions took on a LOT of potential debt
(10:05:07 AM) christyn: a lot of risky loans and investments
(10:05:37 AM) christyn: and because of the net to debt ratio change, they didn’t even have to keep the amount of cash or cash equivalents in “the safe”
(10:05:51 AM) christyn: so as THEIR bad debts come up. they’ve got nothing to pay with
(10:05:57 AM) christyn: which is why the governement now needs to step in
(10:06:07 AM) christyn: because OTHER COUNTRIES own a large portion of US based debt
(10:06:29 AM) PalladiumStar: Which is VERY BAD
(10:07:17 AM) PalladiumStar: OOO! OOO! Can I suggest the name of our new money? (since we are going the same way as Mexico with their money) I suggest Nueve Dollar!
(10:08:26 AM) christyn: already taken care of for you, bb
(10:08:27 AM) christyn: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_currency_union
(10:08:42 AM) christyn: the word you’re looking for is “amero”
(10:08:43 AM) PalladiumStar: Oh crap….
(10:08:46 AM) Annai: i’m not keeping up with this well, but isn’t some of the debt crisis because some of these banks were required to take on loans (because of fair lending practices) that they otherwise might not have?
(10:08:55 AM) christyn: no
(10:08:55 AM) PalladiumStar: And I was just joking….

So, as you can see, there is already a proposed NAFTA/SPP monetary system in the books. /shakehead

Wikipedia on the Amero (I can truly say, this is worrisome as this can happen now our markets are going down…)
